NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following road for the date and for the times stated:-



Installation of MV Electric Cable Infrastructure – L5532 Garrane Crossroads to Ardskeagh Crossroads

From 00.01 hrs Monday 3rd July 2017 to 24.00hrs Wednesday 30th August 2017

(24 Hour Closure)

Roads to be closed:

L5532 between Ardskeagh Cross to Garrane Cross

Alternative Routes:

Traffic approaching the road closure from Ballyhea village along the L1327 to continue into County Limerick and divert via L8567 through Ballymacshaneboy to Ballshonikin Cross and turn left onto the L5531-11 to Ardskeagh Cross.



Traffic approaching the road closure along the L5531-11 should divert along the L8567 to Ballshonikin Cross and through Ballymacshaneboy onto Ardpatrick/Ballyhea road and turn left onto L1327 to Garrane Cross



Traffic approaching from Ardpatrick along the L1327 should continue in Ballyhea onto N20 and turn right along N20 to Ballyhea Cross and turn right onto L5531 to Ardskeagh Cross



Diversion route will be signposted.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Installation of MV Electric Cable Infrastructure.



Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Tuesday 20th June 2017 at 5pm.

Alternative Routes:

Traffic approaching the road closure from Garrane Cross Roads along the L5532-0 should divert from Ardskeagh Cross along the L5531-11 towards Gortacrank and continue into Charleville via the R515 Kilmallock Road.



Traffic approaching the road closure from Gortacrank along the L5531-11 should divert along the L5532-0 towards Garrane Cross Roads and take right along the L1327 towards Ballyhea village. At N20 turn right and continue onto Ballyhea Cross where detour route is in place.



Traffic approaching from Ballyhea Cross Roads should divert via the L5533-0 from Ballyhea Level Crossing towards Gortacrank and turn right onto L2231 and continue onto Ardskeagh Cross.

Road Resurfacing Works – L3606-23 Leamlara to Carrigtohill

From 08.00hrs Monday 17th of July 2017

To 18.00hrs Friday 4th August 2017

(24 Hour Closure)





Road to be Closed:

The L3606-23 from its junction with the L3604-25 at Leamlara to its junction with the L3680-0 at Carrigtohill.

Alternative route:

From Leamlara to Carrigtohill via the L3604-25 east to Lisgoold. At junction turn right onto R626. Continue south to Curragh Wood turn right onto L3617-25. Continue southwest. Turn right at the junction with the L3680-0 continue west to Carrigtohill.



This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Carrigtohill to Leamlara.



NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works

Alternative Route:

Travelling west towards Ballydehob, take the L-4418-28, the L-4418-0 and then the L-8462-0.  The reverse applies travelling east towards Skibbereen.

Local access will be available.

Town Centres are going through transformational change and Cahir is at a cross roads. It can either follow the existing trend for rural towns or be brave and take an opportunity to determine its own more viable future. Tipperary County Council are seeking submissions from every section of the community in Cahir around how The Square in Cahir can be used to deliver a new future for the town and how traffic could be better managed/accommodated in this context. The Cahir Local Area Plan 2011 seeks to redevelop the Square as a landscaped, civic plaza in a manner that enhances the Town Centres and improves the Vitality and Vibrancy of the area – your views and ideas as to how this could be achieved would be valued Following Submissions, workshops will be held around options which will inform the design brief and further public consultations A design team will be appointed following the above processes to produce a detailed public realm proposal for The Square, including an assessment of traffic management and car parking.
