TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROAD – Bridge Replacement works - R619 Rooves Bridge, Coachford

Road to be Closed:

The R619, Rooves Bridge, from its junction with the R618 at Coachford to its junction with the L-2202-0 at Rooves More.

Road Number:

R619 (Part).

Alternative Route:

From Coachford to Rooves More via R618 through Carrigadrohid and west to New Bridge. After bridge turn left onto N22 and travel south to Tooms East. Continue along N22 east to Ballytrasna. At junction turn left onto L-2201-0 and continue north east to Larchill Cross Roads. At Larchill Cross Roads continue straight ahead to join L-2201-30. At the next cross roads continue straight ahead to join L-2201-43. Continue along L-2201-43 to the junction with R619 at Rathonoane. At junction turn left onto R619 and continue east to Rooves More.

This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse when travelling from Rooves More to Coachford.

Duration of closure:

From Monday 9th January 2017 to Friday 20th January 2017 (night time closure 20.00hrs to 08.00hrs)

Bridge Replacement Works

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:



Watermain Works – L4715 Scart Road, Bantry

From Monday 9th January to Friday 27th January 2017

(24 Hours Daily)



Road To Be Closed:

Part of the L-4715-0 Scart Road from its junction with the L-4714-0 at St Finbarr’s Terrace/Hospital Road to its junction with the L-4730-0 at Blackrock Road.

L-4715-0 (Part)



Alternative Route:

Traffic travelling north along Scart Road will turn right onto the L-4714-0 at St Finbarr’s Terrace and continue onto the L-4716-0 Hospital Road. Traffic will then turn left onto the L-4752-0 and continue onto L4753-0 down Chapel Street and turning left onto the L-4715-0 to join the L-4730-0 at Blackrock Road.



Traffic will also be diverted along the L-4730-0 Blackrock Road, turning left onto the L-4729-0 at Tom’s Lane and joining the N71 at the Quay.



This closure is to facilitate Watermain Works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that the following roads will be closed to public traffic for the dates and times stated:



Watermain Works – L4745 Old Barrack Road, Bantry

From Monday 9th January to Friday 27th January 2017

(24 Hours Daily)

 

Road To Be Closed:

The L-4745-0 Old Barrack Road from its junction with the N71 at the Glengarriff Road to its junction with the L-4737-0 and L-4738-0 at the entrance to Reenrour East housing estate.      



Road Number:

L-4745-0



Alternative Route:

Traffic travelling north will be diverted along the N71 on the Glengarriff Road before turning left onto the L-4737-0 at Newtown. From here traffic will follow the L-4737-0 to meet the L-4738-0 at the entrance to Reenrour East housing estate. 



This alternative route above is also applicable in the reverse.



This closure is to facilitate Watermain works.
